General Maltose Syrup has a strong and distinctive flavor like molasses and is bit sticky. However, Maltose Syrups with higher maltose content are milder and tastes good with simple foods unlike honey, maple syrup and molasses, which have a strong and overpowering taste. Maltose is basically a white crystalline sugar formed during the fermentation of starch of corn rice and barley.

That is a good thing No I was very curious about "white molasses and until you identified maltose syrup I had no clue as to what is "white molasses". Thanks for helping to put that itch to rest.

I was there with another party at the end of the shoot while the Chengs were being interviewed. At the same time the interviews were going on, they had a second crew that was doing nothing but shooting the food. They really took their time with that an did a great job setting up the plates and lighting. It really showed in the final product.
