    HI,

I am sure tgoddess hit it on the nail with her jellies. I had some at Le Titi de Paris last fall that I still dream of. Those jellies made right, really are quite ethereal.

I love those. Unfortunately, the jelly they are referring to in England is the insipid wobbly kind.

I made the chocolate biscuit cake today. Good but would not be a favorite of mine. Wills needs to come to Chicago to get some good food.
Save yourself the trouble just buy a Twix bar and have cuppa tea.

That alone makes me lose my appetite. They not only get clothes wrong but they do not really have good food, even though some say the food in London is good now. I wonder why many of their dishes are not popular here? When's the last time you had spotted dick or toad in the hole? I don't think Chocolate biscuit cake is going to take the cooking world by storm. Nor are the bacon sandwiches. I'd be saying where's the toast, the mayo, the tomato and lettuce???? Even Nigella's stuff does not appeal to me. They put raisins where they don't belong and spice things oddly.

They are very good at pagentry though and gardening. Food, fashion...not so much. JMHO

Sitting in the bar of the Bushmills Inn (yes, that Bushmills) in Ireland drinking some single malt Irish and watching the reruns. I missed the live event as I was hiking. There are some funny comments flying about, apparently everyone thinks Harry is the lad you want to go out on the town with.

Technically, they say your pinkie should be in :D

I sacrificed my chocolate Easter bunny to make the groom's cake. It's really not cake, just reconfigured cookies and chocolate. I'm sure I'd never make it again. I can see, however, how someone might have fond memories of it from their childhood. What a sugar high William must have enjoyed.

I guess I was more excited about the ceremony than I thought. I got up at 3 AM, and sucked in all in. It was pretty. I enjoyed it. It was good for me to see something happy on TV.

I can't help but wonder how wild the "young peoples" party is getting right now. Maybe Prince Harry is making a play for Pippa. Ah to be young!

I was about to chop the Godiva bunny and put it in. I found pieces of Valhrona, Fannie May and Moser Roth the the bunny survived another day. Yes its just a bunch of melted chocolate with cookies mixed in....tastes like a Twix to me. Or like eating a candy bar or chocolate frosting mixed with cookies. Give me a nice apple pie or even a scone any day.

I've been searching around, but I haven't seen any photos of food served (other than the cakes) at the wedding. Anyone have better luck than me in this endeavor?

2 kinds of tea, two kinds of finger sandwiches (no crusts, of course), beef tenderloin on yorkshire puddings and a sherry trifle just for good measure. Oh, and about 4 bottles of champagne and some rum punch. And we watched the full 6 hours of coverage.

That sounds lovely. I'm sure most attention would have been focused on the newlyweds, but I could certainly have found myself distracted by those offerings.

After the wedding, real life begins:

ROYAL NEWLYWEDS: KATE LEARNS TO COOK FOR A KING

Keen, like so many new brides, to impress as a domestic goddess, I hear that the Duchess of Cambridge will discreetly be receiving advice about her cooking which, she has admitted, is not her best skill.

For those wondering what to send as a gift, because etiquette advises you have a year, why not a groupon coupon for a cooking class?
