That may not mean he completely disdains fruit. I haven't had a non-pie apple in ages, as raw apples upset my stomach. Still love fruit, though.

Heh . . . don't over analyze it. :D I hope it's clear by now that our boy barely eats produce, so he hasn't missed it at all since this journey started.

No, that absolutely does not count and separate from this bet, it's a travesty. :D

Oh boy. I'm sure he'll be delighted when I pass this news on to him. :)

Last night's dinner -- and this morning's breakfast -- was a thin-crust Jake's Deluxe (sausage, green pepper, mushroom and onion) from their Glenview outlet. He was disappointed because, in order to compensate for the potential sogginess caused by too many toppings, he ordered it well-done. In spite of that, the pizza showed up soggy but he made the best of it.

We still have lunch ahead of us today. I'll update asap.

No real excitement at lunch today. There was talk of Edwardo's but the location he remembered no longer exists. Then it got busy at the office and by the time the dust settled, he was too hungry to wait and ended up having some of the leftover Malnati's 2-for from Sunday . . .

So I've just caught up after a couple weeks away from home (and lthforum) and I must say this is the most entertaining read I've had in a while! Ronnie, you have fatally underestimated your opponent. He looks haggard, but determined.

Go Pizzaboy! I think it is clear that you are well on your way to becoming... Pizzaman!

In conclusion, I thought I was done with sausage pizza after the John's Pizzeria adventure, but I do believe another trip to John's in Munster or maybe Whiting is in order... Pizzaboy is an inspiration to us all!

This is not even a challenge. The title of the thread should be change to something like: "Eat bread, cheese and anything else you want - as long as some type of sausage is involved - for a month". Because " Sausage Pizza - and only sausage pizza" means """"Only Sausage Pizza"""", and that is not what this contest is. It should just allow a pizza with sausage and only sausage on it for a month.

But I do hope Pizzaboy wins because if he is a Bears fan he has had to deal with losing for most of his life.

Regardless of the embellishments, this is certainly a weird enterprise.

    I would have favored pepperoni.

I didn't have the heart to ban medicine but he hasn't taken any or even a multi-vitamin, for that matter. Today he asked me if he should be worried about how bad his everyday diet is because through 20 days of this, he feels just as he always does. I would kill for this boy's metabolism.

His breakfast this morning was some cold, leftover slices from the Jake's Deluxe he had for dinner the other night.

Still not sure what we'll wave in front of him at lunch today but I hope it has more of an impact than yesterday's lunch did. Ironically, his leftover pizza was more tempting than what we ended up having.

    Time's running out . . .

    Ask about a buyout.

My first post was wrong as wrong could be. You're toast. Ask for a buyout. Taunt him with your best stuff over the next few days, but if he doesn't budge, cut your losses. It's pretty clear he's totally indifferent to this whole thing.

    Day 21, baby!

Unfortunately, this was not a successful pizza. Our boy didn't care for it and neither did the rest of us, who all tried it, too. I have to say that something about just tasted bad. He ate about a piece and a half and even though he felt bad about wasting it, the rest went into the garbage (because no one here wanted to take it home). The thin-crust sausage pizza also shown above was much better, as was my Tuscana Salad, which I really enjoyed. On that note, my goal was to get something really tempting (to him) for lunch but I got stuck on the phone with a customer and my car is in for service, so my options were pretty limited today.

Maybe through this all he is gaining a new perspective on life, and forever eschews the greed and vanity that drove into this wager.

On 10/31 in a dramatic act of defying our consumerist culture this pizza fanatic reaches away from his slice and eats a carrot or some other non pizza, thereby forfeiting his claim; completely unaware that because he was unable to furnish the agreed sum, Ron Suburban had poisoned his last slice!
