    For my golden birthday, MincyBits made me a ton of sugar-free cookies instead of a cake. Two towers of cookies, in fact!

    Baked a fun Sleeping Beauty cake for a dear friend's 40th birthday last night.

    Yellow cake, filled with strawberries and swiss buttercream...covered in pink vanilla fondant and decorated with pink dragees and gold and pink luster dust.

    Another incredible item you have turned out, I like this one and the fondant x-box you did alot.

    Had a small dinner party last night that included pork chops, filled with cranberry, peach and fennel stuffing, steamed broccoli, honey ginger carrots, potato and celery root puree and for dessert, these:

    Verrines of milk chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache, chestnut mousse and whipped cream, garnished with chocolate shavings and, just because it's the holidays, chocolate madelines, dusted with powdered sugar.

    Nicely done! These look identical to one of Sue's Xmas cookie staples. One of the hard parts is remembering to put the chocolate-tinted part on the outside -- they just look wrong that way.

    Le gâteau de marjolaine for the office holiday potluck lunch.

    Layers of hazelnut dacquoise, chocolate ganache with hazelnut liqueur, hazelnut french buttercream, garnished with ground toasted hazelnuts, ganache-dipped whole hazelnuts and 24K gold leaf.

    Very hazel-nutty.
