Foodie Think Tank

Because I am both in Mensa and widely known as a serious student of food, I was asked by a think-tank associated with Mensa if I could help them when they were consulting with food companies. I said yes, but the first thing they asked me to do, I couldn't, which was to identify people in Mensa who were also food professionals or seriously knowledgeable about food and food trends.

Well, comments that have been made over the couple of years I've been in this forum suggest to me that I'm not the only Mensan in the group -- and the level of writing and insight in this forum also suggests to me that a whole bunch of people qualify, even if they're not members.

Now, I'm not asking you to come out of the closet and announce to everyone that you're in, but if you are a Mensan, or qualify and would like to join now in order to participate in the opportunity to determine future food trends, then check out the website and let THEM know. http://www.discovermensaprocess.com

This is an nation-wide effort, and there will be "rewards," though I suspect that some of the reward is having a hand in affecting the direction of major food companies. They are looking for any field of experience, from chefs to trend-watchers to researchers to food writers.

Hope you'll be joining me in the think tank. If trends are going to be affected, this is just the group I'd like to have affecting them.

Of course, food isn't the only thing they're going to be thinking about, so if your true expertise lies in another field, and you're interested in joining a think tank, look at the list of other areas they'll be addressing.
