Sasha Davies, with whom I used to work at Artisanal Cheese Center in NYC, has created a website that documents her trips around the US (and the world) visiting Artisan and Farmhouse cheesemakers. Her mission (to wickedly paraphrase) is to bring the best of US small production to a larger audience. Ultimately she will bring video and audio to her website of images and words captured during her travels.

This is a great resource for the cheese obsessed.

Myself, and a few other LTH'ers had the pleasure of meeting Sasha in New York last spring right before she embarked on her cheese trip. I was very impressed by her passion, knowledge and lack of pretension. The party where we met was co-hosted by Mark Bello, and was populated almost entirely by young, obsessed foodies who were hell bent on making a living doing what they loved. Anne Saxelby was another cheese maven in attendance who has since opened a cheese shop in Essex Market where she sells only domestic artisanal cheeses.
