What is it about the cooking of WOMEN CHEFS that makes it more memorable, more comforting than that of men?

The chef of my favorite local restaurant is a woman and my reactions to her cooking are similar to the author's.

Would that it were so, but my experience has usually beenthe contrary. At least when we're talking high-end chefs; now, somebody's mama cookin' it up old school, that might be a different matter.
