This Saturday (Sept. 15) they will be filming the 2nd portion of an installment for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives at Paradise Pup on River Road in Des Plaines. The folks at the Pup tell me that the episode is expected to air in late October.

Evidently, they are shooting all over town. Besides PP and Swine Dining's Galewood Cookshack, they are also going to be shooting at Smoque.

I'm glad for the brothers that own PP. Sad for its customers that already have ridiculously long waits for their excellent dogs and burgers at PP. The lines will only get longer.

Funny story -- they were telling me that the concept was better than the result. Apparently, the first shoot took so long (until about 8pm at night, well past their closing time) that the FN producers were buying them beer to calm them down . . . and the beer did not have quite the calming effect desired. Oh well. I kind of understand . . . it's not like they need more customers. But as much as I like the Pup, they need to improve the assembly line . . . and bring back the pumpkin shakes!!!

So is the Food Network shoot over already -- done Friday night? (I was thinking about driving by PP at lunchtime today.)

No -- today is the 2nd part of the shoot, although I don't know what time.
