Post #1 - September 20th, 2007, 10:10 pm...to say hello to anybody who recalls me.
I've recently been kicked off of Chowhound.com (one too many constructive criticisms of CH's censoriousness, in a nutshell). I wish I had it in me to emulate LTHForum in the SF Bay area. As it is, I'm using my freed-up goofoff time to resurrect my attempts at a chinese food forum, and I invite all to visit it. I've added a Restaurant Review section this time, and there's a Chicagoland forum included. I recall some heady and knowledgeable discussions about Shanghainese cuisine emanating from you guys, so let's git 'er done!

I've also recently retired, and tracking bargain airfares, and maybe reading LTH again will inspre me to make my first visit to Chicago in over 40 years (not including sprints through O'Hare from United to Air Canada).All Chinese food all the time at http://www.eatingchinese.org

I'm sorry to hear that -- what a loss for the SF board. Welcome to LTH, and I'm glad to hear that your own forum will be revived.
Hope you'll post here about SF and your travels to China, Canada, and elsewhere.

Gary S already knows this, but last year before I went to Vancouver I pored over Gary's posts (on e-gullet, I think) about the Vancouver/Richmond XLB scene to figure out where to go.
Gary, anything you want to re-post or update here would be of great interest to many of us.
