Post #1 - October 27th, 2007, 9:52 pmA friend hipped me to the University of California Press' Dirt Cheap Book Sale. They have a number of books on food and wine (among many other topics).
How many titles are on sale? What prices and discounts?
Over 3000 titles are on sale, with discounts ranging from over 90% to 10%. Most books are priced at 50% off or more, and over half are less than $9.95.
To get the sale price, you must obtain a discount code, which can be found by signing up for their email updates or via their RSS feeds.
The sale only lasts through October 31st.Joe G.

Post #2 - October 27th, 2007, 10:34 pmFor some reason my book, Kitchens: The Culture of Restaurant Work by Gary Alan Fine (which is from University of California Press) is not in the food section of their sale list, but it is on sale (for $9.95, normally $21.95). Of course, I would much prefer you to pay full price. The hardback is nice too.
