    I recently read Jennifer 8 Lee's book, The Fortune Cookie Chronicles, and recommend it if you want a fast and entertaining account of Chinese food in the U.S. :)

    My book club just read this and we thought it was entertaining and informative - lots of info about the origin of the fortune cookie, as well as exploring Chinese American food culture in general. It's a good read.
