Just listened to the podcast - you guys sounded great! Congratulations! Sparky listened with interest, when he heard you talk about Prairie Grass, he chirped "they do make great eggs benedict!"

    Hi,

After Maxwell Street today, we went over to Moon's for breakfast. A woman sitting on a stool next to Gary was giving us the run down on the corned beef. Betsy explained she learned about Moon's from a guy on the radio last night. I was very happy to introduce her to the guy on the radio.

Betsy was also impressed to learn about Cajun Connection. While I was rather cold, I opened my coat to show her my Ron's Cajun Connection t-shirt.

You just never know who is listening to the radio or reading this board, you just might meet them sometime. We're everywhere!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

    M,

Thanks, it was a lot of fun in particular as Nick D is a true enthusiast of all things food. Podcast, in four parts, available --> here

Funny story,* after your GNR presentation to Assistant Commissioner Bernadette Williams on behalf of Maxwell Street Market Hammond, Cathy2 and myself headed over to Moon's Sandwich Shop, which I enthusiastically recommended on the Nick D show. We sat next to a woman who immediately engaged us in conversation. Turns out she, Betsy F, heard about Moon's from a fellow on the Nick D show. Even funnier after Cathy introduced me as "that guy" Betsy started asking about the Cajun Place in Utica (Ron's Cajun Connection), which Dickson and I also talked about on the show, and Cathy happened to be wearing her Ron's shirt. Small world.

Moon's was terrific today, corned beef, as always, the perfect foil for creamy grits and rich runny egg yolks.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

*I see Cathy just posted about meeting Betsy at Moon's. It's a good story, as I've already typed out the post I tell it again. :)

Great job with the interview, guys. The only problem was that listening to it made me really hungry (except for the eyeball taco tangent).

    Gary,

If this were an episode of Cops and they interviewed us separately, at least our stories stack up.

    Hello Betsy, wherever you are!
