newspaper reporter goes to culinary school

I've been a newspaper reporter for the past decade, but I've decided to reinvent myself in flour, water, salt and yeast. So, I'm going to culinary school in Chicago to study baking and pastry.

Have you read The Making of a Chef: Mastering Heat at the Culinary Institute of America? Was a really interesting book about a guy in somewhat similar circumstances.
