I watched the very interesting story of Ibrahim Parlak, owner of Cafe Gulistan, on nightline last night.

It never ceases to amaze and comfort me the communities that develop with food as their core. Food truely does nourish the body and the spirit.

If anyone wants to take a road trip to Cafe Gulistan, I'd be up for it.

A Happy and Healthy New Year to you All!

    ciao

I live over in the area and the Cafe Gulistan is not open. He is currently in jail and there is no one to operate it.
