I saw on the LA CH board that Amazon now offers photos of busy streetscapes to go with directions to businesses, including restaurants (at least in major cities).

Pretty cool stuff. Most of Milwaukee Ave. is on there, along with the main drags in Pilsen, Lakeview, and who knows where else.

Along with the menus, this is quite a resource (especially if you drag your family out looking for places that you think you saw driving by but aren't so sure).

    JeffB,

This is a cool service, especially (as you suggest) for getting a visual of the place you're going before you set out. Unfortunately, there seem to be no visuals for Oak Park, but maybe someday.

You can also access it at a9.com. I was able to see my office (on damen near north ave) and my apartment building (near kedzie+palmer).

It's a really well done little feature. Search for miami flavors and you see a picture of it last summer. Although a dorito truck is blocking it.

That's funny. There is a problem with trucks blocking views. Carol's Pub has a chip truck. There's also a little problem with the addresses. In fact, the Miami Flavors pic is a few doors off. If you "walk" left a few steps on the page, you'll see Miami Flavor's green and white awning.

Now I'm afraid I'll spend my days trying to read the featured items written on the windows of taquerias.
