Visiting the Arab-American community of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn today, I spotted these two tributes to 9/11 in a New York-state-of-mind: an honorary street sign (referring to the only married couple that lost their lives on 9/11 - both worked for the same company as my wife) and, more relevant for this board, a chocolate Twin Towers (with American flag) in an Arab-American bakery in Bay Ridge.

Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik
