Cleergel, are you looking for an open mic for music, stand up, random rants? If music, you might give Fitzgerald's a call. They're on Roosevelt Road, and here's their site: http://www.fitzgeraldsnightclub.com/

Even for those not looking to perform, Fitzgerald's is a local treasure. I've seen some outstanding performers, including Cubanismo, Brave Combo, and lots others. They now serve food, too.

    Hi,

Poetry slams are at the Green Mill, I want to say Sunday night but you will need to check. Chief O'Neill's has open mic traditional irish music on Sunday afternoons.

The Reader may have a section on open mics ... I'm speculating here.

    Good luck,

    C2:

I believe that's correct. For poetry and pseudo-poetry, one should look in the "Theatre and Performance" listings in section 2.
