ISO cookie icing recipe

i'm making cutout cookies this week, but i don't have an icing recipe. can someone share an icing recipe that will harden on the cookies, but doesn't have egg white in the recipe?

You can make a flat icing with a little acid and spread it very thin, then make sure you leave them in a dry place until hard. That's just powdered sugar and enough liquid to make it spreadable.
