I received an email that told a story of how a young man burned his face and a woman burned her hand and they were saved by covering the affected area with egg whites. It mentioned that the collagen and layer of dried whites protected the skin. This sounds like hooey. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I've heard of frying eggs on a sidewalk, but this takes it to a whole new level. :?

    HI,

I lot of credit is given the egg white.

The very first action of cooling the skin was very important. Where there is heat, the damage will continue.
