Noticed this recently and was a little amused.
I love butter and a lot of buttery dishes are totally worth their bad consequences. Its beyond me why anybody would have this though! It does not sound worth the clogged arteries.

It's the Iowa State Fair. There's no point in going if all you do is have a hot dog and a Coke, which you could have anywhere at any time of the year. The whole point is to see a 2,768 lb. bull named Bubba, or the biggest sheep and the biggest pig, ride the roller-coaster, and eat some crazy fried thing you can tell people about for the rest of the year.

Based on the descriptions, the fried butter on a stick seems like a sort of deep-fried cinnamon roll.

I had a deep-fried brownie. Yes, it was worth the clogged arteries. Next year I'm trying the fried Key Lime Pie.

Brownies and pies are different from a stick of butter. Im not puzzled by the process of deep frying something, rather the deep frying of a stick of butter.
