Post #1 - August 31st, 2011, 9:48 amFerran Adria has a new book coming out called "The Family Meal: Home Cooking". Cathy2 alerted us to a book signing that is now sold out.
The book is not about how Adria cooks at home, but is a collection of recipes from the staff meal at El Bulli over the last three years. Mark Bittman wrote an article in July about the concept of the book. See http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/03/magaz ... wanted=all

Post #3 - October 6th, 2011, 8:27 amI just received this in the mail yesterday. The book is fantastically organized and the layout is perfect for hosting easy (but interesting) dinner parties. I'm looking forward to cooking from the book soon.
It's $17 well spent on Amazon.com.

They make a great gift. I wish I purchased more. I'm already shifting animal proteins to tofu or other vegetables and it is a fascinating book.

I thought so, but then I'm kind of a homemade potato chip geek. Don't tell anyone, but one family member drizzled some ketchup on the omelet - it was pretty good!

Post #10 - October 26th, 2011, 2:28 pmJust received my copy along with "Off The Menu: Staff Meals From Anmerica's Best Restautrants". Both look like great sources for incredible dinners made with relative ease. First up for me, this weekend is the Potato salad, Thai Beef Curry and Strawberries in Vinegar.
