The new cookie-less Cookie Monster

I'm still trying to process how I feel about this, as C. Monster was my earliest - and still favorite - food icon. How times change...

There was some lovely footage on the news this morning of moms & toddlers protesting outside of a PBS station, chanting "No Cookies - No Peace!"

[apparently set up by a local radio announcer but cute nonetheless]

Yeah, ok, cookie monster is why we have so many fat kids... its not all the nasty overprocessed food, lunchables, mcdonalds, high sugar/corn syrup juices/yogurts, lack of walking/driving everywhere, no gym class - ness. Nope, its all poor Cookie's fault.

Me want cookie now.

My fave coffee mug has a picture of sad Cookie Monster looking at a pile off cookies that says "Got Milk". Wouldn't really work with a pile of broccoli.
