    Beard Nominations, 2012

Lot of Chicagoans nominated this year, including Kevin Pang, Janet Fuller...and our own Mike Gebert: http://jamesbeard.org/sites/default/fil ... minees.pdf

I was out of town when the announcement was made, and I figured the news might have been already posted about...but it apparently hadn't been (if it did go up somewhere else on the board, please let me know).

Are these the winners, or are they nominees?

If it is this list I highlighted, these are designations. All of them are America's Classics.

When Calumet Fisheries was advised they were receiving an America's Classics, they had to look up the James Beard Foundation. They had no awareness of the organization or the designation, they quickly learned it was rare and very special.
