I had not seen the list currently floating around and was disappointed that I had eaten 99 of the 100 things on it.

This bloggers list seems more appropriate:

Besides, even if you do not live in the Houston area, the people do a decent job with this blog.

I suggest not eating that last one for awhile, just in case their prophecy comes true.

Yeah, the original list wasn't too crazy. I think I had 92 or 93 out of the 100. That blogger's list, though--that's a bit more obscure. I think I'd end up somewhere in the 50-60 range on that one.

There are some well-thought-out things on that list and then there are the things that make you just wanna go "huh?" Avocado smoothie?

    Veal?

Avocado shakes made with condensed milk have been one of those staple southeast Asian drinks for decades, before fruit smoothies with tapioca balls, energy drinks, or jamba juice became popular.

I have fond memories of my parents hunting avocadoes down some 20-30 years ago to make shakes out of them back when avocados weren't quite as popular as they are now. I appreciate that they made the list.

Avocado shakes seem pretty pedestrian to me, but the very thought makes my friends gag. So clearly, not as mainstream as I'd think.
