Does anyone know where I might obtain a large number of 5 gallon buckets-the drywall kind--at a good price? I understand Home Depot has them for $3.50 apiece, but I need around 40 or more.

There could be some San Marzanos in it for you.

Without purchasing a large quantity your best bet is to check out grocery store bakeries, delis, restaurants, BBQ joints, etc. Lots of items these businesses use are in 5 gallon plastic buckets. Frosting, pickles, sauces, etc. I go to Wal-mart and get them from the bakery.

Fast food places, groceries and commercial bakeries would be your best bet.

Personally, I would NOT use anything that had stored anything but food ...

    Hi,

When I plan to ferment pickles, I inquire with my local Burger King for a food safe 5-gallon bucket. I leave my name and number but usually drop in again before they ever call me.

I have several here, so if you don't find what you want, I can get some to you.

    Regards,
