I don't know why this got so many pans; I thought it was hilarious. Did anyone else see it?

Not a realistic portrayal of Butter Sculpting, this movie does not respect the tradition of sculptors like
Norma Duffy Lyon
or others who have molded butter for society.

The film's pervasive air of smugness and condescension seems to have turned a lot of people off.
As Rolling Stone's Peter Travers says: "Butter wishes it were a Christopher Guest sendup but comes off like a cheap imitation."

Believe it or not, on another forum I found reference to a movie called "Toast".
It looks very interesting.

So a good weekend movie duet, butter and toast <grin>

Huh. I'd heard of Nigel Slater's memoir, did not know it had been filmed.

I liked it...especially any scene that involved Olivia Wilde
