I know this is way off subject - exactly why I put in Non-Food Chat. I am new to the Chicago area and was wondering a good place for a haircut that isn't insanely expensive. Thanks

If all you want is a simple haircut, and maybe a shampoo, you might try Supercuts. There are shops all over the city and their prices are very good.
You may get a different stylist every time you go to the salon, but I've never had a bad one.

I second Big Hair - great stylists- reasonable prices. They don't take appts for haircuts, you just go in and put your name on the day's list. they say the earlier the better (they open at 10am). but for hair color, you need to make an appt. I really like the stylist Angela.

Emil. Oak Park Arms. 13 bucks, cheap.
