Excellent link.
As a beer afficiando and a graduate of some of this city's largest ad agencies, it seems to self-consciously reflect all that's wrong with many in the self-indulgent creative community. Especially since it doesn't seem to be a particularly good beer (but when you have nothing significant to say about the product, about all you have left is smoke and mirrors).
Comments about the product from
ratebeer.com:
Aroma of a car wreckers lot, oxidised metal, and dank liquor freshly pumped from the Yarra. In the mouth, it had that cheap home brew kit lager flavour, that thin watery unbalanced concoction brewed in a mates back shed. Typical ’Aussie lager’ metallic hop feel across the tongue, unconverted malt starch and a sharp carbonic bite in front. Sadly, it’s not the worst of the Aussie macro’s!!!
Others were a bit more charitable, admittedly.
