You know those wonderful "Offbeat Illinois" posters that are in some of the bus shelters in town? Turns out the tourism department will send you one free (though presumably not as large--it doesn't say). The order form is here. For a closer look at the posters, go here.

I like the Metropolis poster. Metropolis, the geographic paradigm of a misnomer. Spent some time at a riverboat casino nearby. Should have gone all the way to Paducah.

Man. What are they thinking with that "navigation" system?

We received our poster today, and it was NOT the car kabob poster we'd expected, but was instead the Rockford T-Rex poster.

I would love to swap if anyone is willing, but if not, sigh, maybe it'll go up on ebay.

For those who haven't received one, the posters are very large and actually very well done. Not a cheap glossy poster, by any means.

I received my poster last week...it was the T-Rex one, which I did order. They are definitely nice quality posters.

I received my Butter Cow poster a couple of weeks ago. Definitely nice enough to frame.

I got the T-Rex instead of the car kabob too. Hiss, boo. :x  Apparently Berwyn has more fans than Rockford.

The promotion is over, but you can now buy the posters at Cafepress, along with aprons, tote bags, and magnets. Ooh, and they just released the Collinsville Catsup bottle!!

And yet the Car Kabob is still nowhere to be seen.

I'm wondering if they got a cease and desist from the artist or something.
