Asian Tapas - Small Bites, Big Flavors by Megel & Kilayko

Beautiful photos, seductive recipes, forward by Alain Ducasse - this cookbook seemed ideal for a new approach to dim sum. But when I started to make some of the recipes, I quickly discovered all kinds of typos, incorrect quantities, nonsensical instructions, unused ingredients, and just plain strangeness: "1/4 tablespoon of yeast" - who the heck has a 1/4 T measuring spoon?

Today we had Har Kow Shrimp Focaccia Buns and also Tangy Potstickers with Ginger and Garlic Chives - got a standing ovation from the family, but only because I was able to brute-force or finesse my way through the sloppy instructions. Great book if you are experienced in making dim sum and want some new ideas. Otherwise this is a book to avoid at all costs.
