trade your unwanted cookbooks

i want to let you all know about a website i joined recently. it's called paperbackswap.com and it is a place for trading books. the books are free but the sender pays the postage (usually $1.59/book). members start by listing at least 9 books that they are willing to get rid of. each time someone requests one of your books, you get a credit which you can use to request a book from someone else. there are about 350,000 books available, and the numbers are growing. my main interest in the site, and in letting lth'ers know about it, is that the cookbook collection is puny and so the more people who join (particularly food lovers like we are), the more books willl be posted for swapping.(and hopefully, the more cookbooks will be posted). it is free to join (at this point), and its fun to anticipate books arriving by mail. hardcover books are accepted as well, tho postage will be a little higher, justjoan
