http://www.marionstreetcheesemarket.com) in Oak Park will be starting off a Craft Beer Series next Monday (9/22) with a one-hour beer and cheese pairing, featuring the great stuff from Lagunitas Brewing Co. and some of the best cheese made in the state of California. Here are the details:
What: A California Beer & Cheese Pairing

When: Monday, September 22 from 7:00-8:00pm (with more drinks and revelry to continue at the beer bar following the event.

What You Get: Four rounds of beer sampling alongside tasting portions of artisanal California cheese.
Should be kinda fun. Karen Hamilton from Lagunitas (her brother Ron owns the brewery) is going to talk a little about their company. Then we'll just do a little intro of their beers (Pils, Maximus, Lucky 13 and Cappacino Stout are tentatively on the bill) and cheeses (stuff from Cowgirl Creamery, Bravo Farms, Redwood Hill Farm).
EDIT: My apologies for not following protocol here and introducing myself ... My name is Andy Jenkins and I am Marion Street Cheese Market's beer buyer. Anyone can feel free to contact me with any questions about this event, our shop, beer, life in general.
Cheers,
Andy Jenkins
