Sixth Annual Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer

Disclosure: While I am involved with helping organize the competition portion of this event, I have no monetary interest in either the event or the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild.

The sixth annual Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beer will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008. This year hopes to have 100 wood and barrel aged beers available for sampling. The event is also being held at a new, larger location and will feature two tasting sessions. Tickets are limited for each session and can be purchased in advance for $35 at http://www.illinoisbeer.com. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $45, if available.

The exact beer list cannot be provided in order to provide some secrecy for the competition portion of the event but I can post a list of breweries that will be present once I have that information.
