    SP,

I agree on both, though I was especially enamored of the jalapeno Caesar salad, contended with the crisp pig skin and Cajun Cakes for my favorite bites of the evening.

To all I offended last Saturday, great seeing you! To all I failed to offend, next time.

Seriously, great time. I love you all.

Just to echo many of the sentiments already expressed... a million thanks to all the planners that put in the hard work to make such a great event possible. This was my first LTH ChanuKwanzaXmas Holiday Party, and I hope there will be many more.

The company was wonderful -- it was great to put more LTH names with LTH faces and cover many tangentially food-related topics at our table, such as flouride in drinking water/mind control, dentistry, and poor choices for restaurant names (i.e., "The Poison" Seafood).

The food exceeded all expectations. Although I enjoyed most everything, I was particularly surprised by the delight I experienced from the greens, salad, and jambalaya. It was an excellent holiday meal, accompanied by excellent beer. My mouth was very happy with the many lingering shades of spiciness that the evening provided.

    Cheers!

PS: I look forwarded to being offended by Ramon at the next event.

I just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of thank you's. RAB and I had a wonderful time. Thanks to David, Cathy, and everyone else who contributed to the evening. And, special thanks to Jim for the great home brew and to Ellen F for the amazing basket of homemade goodies that we were fortunate enough to take home with us.

    Can't wait for next year!

    Hi,

Was the raffled gingerbread house homemade or from a bakery? My sister keeps inquiring with me where to buy one just like it.

    Thanks!

    Regards,

Irisarbor made the gingerbread house. Not sure if she makes them for hire.

A belated thank you to everyone who made the party so terrific--Cathy, David, Chuck and his team... It was a truly lovely evening.

Thank you also to Ellen F. for the gift basket-drum I got to take home. I'm totally enamored with it. I've already made, if I may say, a pretty fabulous minestrone with the heirloom tomatoes.

We've even reused the extra festive packaging of my raffle prize to doll up our plant box. :)

I think that installment of Check, Please! aired some time in October. We had trouble getting in on November 1st because there were so many people waiting for tables on a Saturday night -- we left and came back election night for a quick dinner before running home to watch the returns. The show turned what used to be maybe a 20 minute wait at the most on a Saturday into an hour and a half wait. Not that it isn't worth it for Chuck's food, but I felt we would have better luck on a week day and I was right.
