Thankfully for us, Halloween coincides with this year's release of America's most evil wine, Twisted Oak's River of Skulls, a blood-red concoction of California's finest old vine Mourvedre, blended with a dash of Syrah, to boot. From the skull etched on the bottle to the glass-staining, concentrated color and flavor, everything about the wine is deliciously sinister.
To celebrate the new vintage, LUSH on Halsted is throwing a party this Friday, October 30th, from 6-9 PM. We will be hosting the Twisted Oak winemaker, providing hearty eats (two kinds of chili, mac and rice, and all the other appropriate sides and fixings) doing the Monster Mash, etc., in addition to pouring the new River of Skulls and other assorted Twisted wines.
We're welcoming costumes, with a bottle of wine going to the best dressed attendee. All the food and wine a zombie could want: $40. RSVP at
erin@lushwineandspirits.com, or 312-738-1900. Happy Halloween!
