I like the idea of a regular date--3rd Friday works for me!

I have another friend who'd like to join (she's been to a few LTH meals but is too lazy to sign up for her own account). Looks like there's still room but let me know if I mis-counted

    Shouldn't be a problem.

    Hi Turkob,

I have a meeting up until 11:45, so may be a few minutes late. Please don't wait for me to order, as not to delay anyone.

A friend of mine is interested in joining us, please add her as tentative. I will confirm Friday morning.

Thanks again for organizing Loop Lunch events for second time.

    Grrr.....

Back in the office after a scintillating business trip to Ypsilanti, Michigan, only to learn that I need to be at 12:30 and 1:00pm meetings tomorrow and thus can't join you for Ginza.

I was really looking forward to this meal.

    Sorry about the late notice,
    Ronna

What Ronna says applies to me as well, except nothing scintillating. Court in Bridgeview & then downtown. There's not much, aside from hope, that I would make it.

Really sorry, pairs4life & the Mr. must bow out.

I got into the office this morning to find a meeting scheduled over lunch today. I'm going to have to bow out also. Sorry for the late notice. I was really looking forward to this lunch.

Thanks everyone for a fun lunch today. Some very solid broiled mackerel (nicely oily) alongside a pretty disappointing sashimi salad...but for $8.95 it's hard to complain too much.

Looking forward to the next "Loop" lunch!

Ditto what jesteinf said! It was fun to meet LTHers as always. The mackerel was great and I opted for seaweed salad, which is always dependable!

I'm looking forward to making the next one as well! Thanks to turkob for setting it up!

Let me echo what others said. I had a great time at lunch and enjoyed seeing everyone. The mackerel was very good, but I was a little disappointed in my sashimi salad. Both it and the soup were not as good as usual. Of course, they were really slammed between our party and another party in an adjoining tatami room, plus whatever business they had in the front of the house. I attribute any shortcomings to a random bad day in the kitchen. Ginza remains more than worth a trip downtown for me!

I second and third and fourth what everyone else said. I think we caught them in a moment when they were slammed. Nonetheless, it was a good lunch. Thanks for organizing, turkob - it was nice to meet new folks today...
