Yeah, I was a bit worried when I posted there. I was considering starting a new topic on it, but since it's an annual event, I figured any new topic would get merged in with the old one.

In any case, this is the BIG restaurant week, the one with 150+ restaurants participating. Not to be confused with the "Local Tourist" restaurant week (going on now, 17 restaurants) or the "Chicago Originals" restaurant week (later this month, 15 restaurants). Or with the various restaurants already offering three-course menus in the same price range, some on certain nights of the week and some every night. :)

OK, LTHers, has anyone perused the list of Chicago Restaurant Week participants and/or their menus? I'm trying to figure out which restaurants are on the "must-try" list, in terms of menu, value, overall dining experience, etc. Right now, I have reservations for Joe's Seafood and for Naha. I recently noticed that Il Mulino and Mercadito are on the list as well. Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Riccardo Trattoria has a decent selection on their menu. I'm up for going there.

The Tribune's Metromix website has posted their recommendations for which places to check out during Restaurant Week (as well as which ones to avoid because they have similar promotions at other times). Click here.

Chicago Magazine weighs in with its own recommendations, including reservation availability, here.
