Sister Cities International Festival has moved to Millennium Park, and will be there through 8/27, with some interesting foodstuffs.
Two stand-outs from Taste -- Kasia's and Shokolad (Ukranian) are there -- along with Carbon, Maconda, Stella's, and a couple of others. This kind of food, of course, can often be hit-and-miss, but I was there early today without much of a crowd -- got a couple of things hot off the griddle/grill/fryer -- and can recommend the cheese empanadas (2/$3) at Macondo and the BBQ short rib at Bowl Square ($3.50). Not bad for a quick lunch. Here's more:

"The fork with two prongs is in use in northern Europe. In England, they’re armed with a steel trident, a fork with three prongs. In France we have a fork with four prongs; it’s the height of civilization." Eugene Briffault (1846)
