Adding my kudos to Danny & Co. as well--just a terrific event--well-executed and delicious!! Highlights for me in addition to the luscious piggy were the rib tips, the vinegar splash sauce (must get busy trying to figure out what was in that--mmmm!), both the bean dishes and the potato salad. Today it's water and raw veggies only :x But it was definitely worth it!!

    LTH,

Stopped at Toon's for an hour or so pre party, had previous commitment. Piggy looked great, got a taste of the terrific tips and links and the vinegar sauce/dip Danny, or was it his wife Annie, whooped up would have done any Carolina BBQ man proud.

I had a bunch of pictures but in a first time ever event they have poofed into thin air.

Nice going Danny, I hear the party was ton-o-fun.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

    Hello,

Just a BIG thanks to all who came out! Thanks to PhilW for the use of his pit. It was great to see all the LTHer's I have had the pleasure getting to know over the past year and a half. Got to talk a bit with mhl, nice to neet you! Ralph wish I could have met you, don't think I did. Thanks for dropping by Gary on your way to the event and the tutorial on links! Now the Damage done!!!

    105lb Pig GONE!!
    30LBs Rib Tips GONE
30lbs Uncle John's Hot Links GONE
40lbs Bone In Pork Shoulders GONE

Almost all the sides got completely destroyed, all the pickles, mac and cheese, green beans with bacon vinagrette, as smoky pit beans got eaten. Basically not a lot of left overs!! We fed over 100 hungry folks and it was a great time. Can't wait for next year! :D

Late to chime in, but Mr. X and I had a grand time. We completely sated ourselves...then went back for more. The pork (shoulder and piggy) were great. I kept going back for Kevin's homemade pickles. We enjoyed the tour Phil gave us of his cooker. I also enjoyed the wonders of the pineapple-infused vodka.

I'm not sure I can add anything new to the superlatives already written. The food was amazing, moist pork, great tips, wonderful sausage and as boudreaulicious said the vinegar sauce was simply amazing. The smokey beans, cornbread and pickles rounded off my eating and they too were top notch. It was my first time trying the pineapple vodka, I was afraid it would be too sweet for my taste, but there was just a subtle taste of pineapple without the sugar I was expecting. I had to leave before I could get my cheeks, next time.

It was great talking to all my fellow LTHer's, a wonderful group as always. The GP I owe you a drink. :P
