    (I am on the committee that planned this event.)

    The Grand Chefs Gala is a fundraiser to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation taking place on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. This year's theme is the Emerald City. The evening consists of a VIP reception, followed by hors d'oeuvres, a three-course dinner and, finally, desserts, cocktails and dancing. The Jean Banchet Awards for Culinary Excellence are presented during dinner. Below is the list of participating chefs and mixologists, schedule for the evening and ticket information.     5:30-6:30pm - VIP reception (for sponsors at $7,500 and above)
    6:00 - Cocktail Reception & Hors d'oeuvres
    8:00 - Dinner and Program
    9:30 - Desserts, Mixologists and Dancing

    Tickets $400 per person (includes After Party)
    After Party tickets $60 per person (starts at 9:30, includes desserts, mixologists and dancing)
    Black tie preferred

    Sounds fanastic: black tie AND dancing to Libido Funk Circus.

    Just a bump since this event is a week away (as of tomorrow). It should be a pretty fantastic time. There are also still tickets available for the After Party, which at $60 is an excellent deal for:

    * Desserts by pastry chefs from restaurants such as Vie, the Bristol, Sepia (and others)
    * Cocktails by Steven Cole of the Violet Hour, Brad Bolt of Bar DeVille, Ben Schiller of the BOKA group (and others)
    * Dancing to Libido Funk Circus
