Bucktown Apple Pie Contest - October 16, 2011

Hey everyone,

I hope I'm not intruding here, but I thought I'd invite everyone to the Bucktown Apple Pie Contest on October 16, 2011. As food lovers, I figured this would be something to put on your calendar. We still have some spaces for pie entries, so if you feel your baking is up to the task, I encourage you to enter. We also started a professional division so if there are any professional bakers out there, we'd love to see you enter as well. And if you don't feel like baking, you should still come on out and taste some great apple pie. We'll also have some great live music, pony rides and face paiting for the kids, and other surprises. It really is a great time. Last year was beautiful, and we feel like we've made some great improvements to what's already been a great event.

All proceeds go to Holstein Park, which is a great little park in Bucktown. Hope to see you on October 16!

Just a friendly reminder that the Bucktown Apple Pie Contest is less than two weeks away. For anyone who's thinking about entering, there are still a few openings and registration closes at midnight on October 12.
