    Feuerzangenbowle Demonstration & Tasting

    Feuerzangenbowle, wherein a sugar cone is soaked in high proof rum and lit on fire over a spiced wine.
    The sugar drips into the wine. While the cone burns, the party gathers and warm conversation ensues.
    Recipe calls for red wine, orange peel, cardamom, cinnamon sticks and cloves
    And only Stroh 180 will do for soaking the Zuckerhut!



    What: DANK Haus Silvesterball powered by The Polkaholics

    Why: Willkommen 2012 at the DANK Haus with a white hot blaze of sequins and accordions known as The Polkaholics.

    Balloons fall from the gilded ceiling, partygoers warm up with a traditional feuerzangenbowle and learn their future at the Bleigiessen display. (See below for more on cultural enrichment)

    Doors open at 8:00pm
    Event closes 2:00 am
    Must be 21 and over

    Landjaeger - $3 ( spicy dried beef sausage - a favorite of hikers)

    Also will be a Bleigiessen demonstration. Bleigiessen is the melting of lead or for safety sake, wax and dropping it into a cold bowl of water, you then interpret the resulting shape to learn your fortune for the New Year
