Not very much information yet on this (first) annual BBQ Fest. There is a CBS Local Events listing here and also a press release. Both pages show an official web site. As of this time, that URL seems to go to a page that's just a placeholder.

This particular 6 Corners location is on Chicago's Northwest side at Cicero, Irving Park Road and Milwaukee Ave.

Walking around the area, there are kiosk's on several main street corners with posters inside advertising the event. According to the posters, there is supposed to be a pro wrestling event, and according to a couple site listings for local events, the WWE will be there(?). There is also a poster for a local entertainer Andrea Eve that states she'll be making a debut music performance. it seems MTV.com will be taping her performance.

Seems to be a exciting line-up.

Rigor Vitae are friends of mine. Great bluegrass/roots music with a killer dobro player.

Do you think there will be any BBQ at this BBQ fest, or is it just music?

Yes there's real BBQ at this first ever Six Corners BBQ Fest:

Bo's BBQ is also on the list. As far as entertainment, there is some info being released regarding some big things going on during the festival. Local singer/model Andrea Eve is performing her song watch out for the first time, and it's being taped for television, there's also a pro wrestling event slated for sunday.

I found this article about the television taping on mtv.com

    http://community.mtv.com/Post/Watch-Out ... 0801479B3E

and the song is located on the bottom of the article. Not bad at all if you ask me.

I'm excited about this festival. Seems a first time festival is trying it's hardest to be different and unique instead of just slowly building and using the first time excuse to cut corners and be lazy. thumbs up six corners~!!!

Didn;t try any food, but the sparse crowd made it a nice event to walk through. Lots of cool looking, older tattoed people.
