    Hallo!
    DANK Haus German American Cultural Center at 4740 N Western Ave in Chicago IL is seeking instructors

    If you would like to lead a class in the Kulturküche series, please let us know!

    Classes must fit our mission of promoting language and culture
    Classes should largely be in English
    Our experience has shown that these classes sell out fast, draw an energetic crowd that loves to laugh and eat
    You are welcome to bring materials promoting your business

    Past classes have covered Schnitzel, Sausage Making, WurstSalat and Rote gruetze, Schweinelende gefült mit Wurst, Christmas Cookies, Krapfen, Spargel
    We can definitely repeat a topic but would also like to widen the scope of German foods for the public


    Here are a few of the basic details:

    Friday Evenings
    In 2012 - 14 Sep 12 Oct 9 Nov 14 Dec
    In 2013 - 11 Jan, 8 Feb, 8 Mar, 12 Apr, 10 May, 14 Jun
    7:30 Doors Open
    7:45 start presentation
    Ideal class size - 25-35
    Cost $18 per person
    5th floor catering kitchen

    Volunteer Needs: DANK will provide volunteers - let us know if you have an assistant
    Chef
    Sous Chef
    Greeter One
    Greeter Two
    Bartender

    Attendees will be treated to demonstration of X preparation
    Attendees will receive handouts detailing history of X and recipes
    Attendees will also receive a tasting portion of X
    Attendees will receive either one 1/2 L beer or 1 glass wine

    You will purchase all necessary ingredients
    DANK will reimburse you for ingredients
    DANK will provide all necessary serving and cooking tools
    DANK will create any print materials needed
    DANK will advertise event in all media types
