I've never seen Ripert live, whereas I have seen Bourdain a few times (at University Club & Chicago Theater to name two places).
Each time I enjoyed myself quite a bit (as did Mrs Sweet Willie) but we like Bourdain's character/persona.I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.
