Ava are you coming to the cookie exchange or not? I am a bit confused about your attendance.

So Am I correct in thinking we should bring 8 doz to exchange,
    and 1 doz to sample?

I may be bringing an extra doz or so Hannukah sugar cookies to sample,
but will not have any of those to exchange

    Hi,

There are eight types of cookies contributed (I am bringing two). This means you bring seven dozen to exchange (assuming you keep something for yourself) and one dozen to sample the day of. Bring no more than eight dozen to the exchange.

I would be very interested to try your Hannukah cookies, even if it is one!

    See you soon!

    Regards,
    Cathy2

If some of you made some 9 bag of cookies for exchange I made another batch of cookies so we can do the original 9 before Ava dropped out. Let me know ladies how you want to handle this. I am fine with 8 as well, whatever works as I do not want people to stress out. But the offer stands anyway.
    See you tomorrow.

    Dobra,

How about any extras people can trade amongst themselves?

No. Jury trial next week. It wasn't supposed to be originally. It should have been before Thanksgiving.

Sorry. Can't wait to see pics.

OK, so we bring 8 (or 9) dozen packaged to exchange and one dozen to sample?

    I will bring 9 dozen.

Can you freeze cookie dough or is it better to make the cookies and freeze them? I miscalculated my recipe and made a lot more than I needed to :)

Many thanks to Cookie Monster for your gracious hospitality in hosting the exchange. She is our hostess with the most-ess. There were so many wonderful things to eat, but I think my absolute favorite was your healthy salad. Such a refreshing contrast to all of the tasty treats. Thanks also to all of the participants for your cookies. I am looking forward to trying them all.

    Hi Ladies
Thank you for coming even though for some of you it was a struggle. I wanted to thank dianeck for the delicious chicken salad and to irisarbor for smokey link rumake, those were very thoughtful hostess gifts.
I shared with my family the cookies you all made, and my daughters took some of your cookies for lunch today.
I wish you all a wonderful holidays! Till next time.

XTRA-Thanks so much to Dobra for being hostess and making so many delicious goodies.
I don't know that I would call that a "light" meal...
I just rolled home and laid on the couch all evening completely stuffed!
    YUM YUM YUM
Thanks to Ingrid for being designated photog and getting all the pix posted so quickly
It was great fun to spend the afternoon with you all
Now I just have to see if I keep prevent the twins from eating all the cookies in 2 days, so we have some to share with neighbors and other family. LOL

Tell the twins that I will name the cookies that way if they sell at the bakery, I think that name is hysterical.
I think I overdid the light meal a bit. :D
Thank you Ingrid for posting all the great pics.
I am hoping to survive the holidays with my waistline intact. LOL!

    Hi,

I have a good stock of cookies to share without reservation.

On my way home, I was contemplating what to bring to mushroom club's holiday party this evening. I then remembered I have some cookies available to share!

Great lunch full of light food in great quantities. I never did bother with dinner. Conversation was terrific.

Thanks Dobra for hosting and everyone for baking!

    Regards,
    Cathy2
