Giving this thread a bump. I met Harry and his daughter Raya of MInt Creek Farm @ Green City Mkt when I was doing a consult for Pensiero. I wanted lamb that tasted like lamb, not beef lite, which is harder to find than you'd think. After sampling numerous purveyors I settled on Mint Creek and have been doing biz w/them since. An excellent product that l also used in the lamb stew w/porcini and root vegs over Guinness roasted barley @ Chief O'Neil's.

That said, If you like lamb and want to get out of the city for the day, it should make for an excellent adventure.

Hi- I was at the Evanston farmer's market yesterday, and I noticed that they were there. I have never seen them there before. I noticed that they were selling grass fed beef, and I commented that I heard that grassfed beef is not that common around here, and he said that only 5% of the cattle around here is grassfed. I noticed that they had boar for sale, and he informed me that he sold out on that. Anybody had any of their boar? Hope this helps, Nancy

Hi- I just checked their website, and Mint Creek is going to be at the Evanston market every other Saturday, and so that means they will be there again on 6/14.
