The Evanston Lunch Group returns to eat in one of Evanston's newest, The Funky Monk, a Mongolian restaurant in the old Uber Burger/Aguas Tortas space on Church Street. Early LTH chatter leans positive on the food, so we hope to have some ordering power to check out as much of the menu as possible. Please join us for soup and dumplings, perfect food for cooler weather.

I hope you'll all report on your experiences. I've been to Mongolia, and I'd love to try this restaurant --but I have to be somewhere else on the 21st. So, since I can't join you, I'll be relying on your opinions. (Though I'm betting you won't have fermented mare's milk.)

Great to join you after a year.
Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik

I'm new to the forum, but work in Evanston and would love to use my lunch to eat and chat with fellow foodies!
