Located in Plaza Del Lago, Convito Italiano, then Bêtise and now Convito Cafe and Market has gone through several changes over the last two decades but the recent addition of Eric Hammond, formerly executive chef at Coco Pazzo and Va Pensiero as their new executive chef is an excellent one.
The current early fall menu lunch offers many of their traditional Italian dishes but also a wide variety of plates and salads. While their tasty Chicken Pot Pie is not due to return to the menu until late November, I have a call in to the restaurant managers to inquire about the possibility of offering it for our meet up.

Post #5 - November 7th, 2015, 2:12 pmI'm not sure whether I can make it yet, but I have a suggestion for our next lunch after this one: La Principal. It's in the former Lupita's space, and the menu is lighter, interesting Mexican dishes, i.e. tacos and tortas.
