Chiditarod X -

This year's Chiditarod is happening next weekend. If you've never been to it, this is a spectacle worth checking out (especially the start).

As it has always been we will be doing the Team Hobo-Q cart once again. We'll be giving out free food, and based on the drunken planning we've done so far it will be mostly a grilled tentacle menu - half Asian theme, half Mediterranean theme, and maybe some Tapas. More info to follow.

Oh - and if anyone is interested in running with us (and we don't really run, we amble) just PM me. We're a very inclusive and open team.

Atrill did his usual fantastic job, this time putting together a pizza oven (on a shopping cart!). Folks were so intent on sampling his wares that I got only one piece (prosciutto, ricotta and arugula). The next pie had his pepperoni. I chose to pass (like, offer samples to the crowd). They took it all and clamored for more. Chris & team had to pack up and head for the next location. He had ingredients for at least a dozen or so different pizzas throughout the day--all with homemade, handstretched dough. Thanks, Chris!!! I look forward to our next meet-up.
